Lactation Consulting
Our practice includes not only standard pediatric healthcare (such as well child visits, immunizations, etc.) but also lactation services to help with any concerns about breastfeeding.

Meet Dr. Coleman
Dr. Rachel Coleman is a mom of 3, wife, and pediatrician with 15 years experience coming alongside parents to help them through the journey of parenthood.
Dr. Coleman graduated from Milligan College with a bachelor’s degree in biology and a minor in chemistry in 2000. From there, she went to the University of Florida College of Medicine. She graduated from medical school in 2004.
Dr. Coleman completed her pediatric residency at the University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester, MA in June 2007. She stayed on as an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics from September 2007 until December 2011. She and her family then realized they could no longer take MA winters and very happily returned to Gainesville where she started as Faculty at UF Health Pediatrics January 2012. She remained in that role until leaving to open Honeybee Pediatrics in the summer of 2022.

What’s included in your membership?
Our membership covers all of your primary care needs. We will work to keep you out of emergency rooms, urgent care centers, and minute clinics. Your child is best cared for by a doctor who knows them, their history, and their unique needs. This includes coverage for all of the following:
Routine well visits
Unlimited sick visits (acute and chronic care)
Remote visits/virtual care
Routine vaccinations
School/camp/sports physical forms
Management of minor lacerations (stitches, staples, glue)
Developmental and behavioral screenings
Counseling and guidance (nutrition, development, sleep, behavior, parenting, and more)
Initial lactation consult for newborns
Evaluation and medical management of chronic pediatric conditions such as eczema, asthma, ADHD, depression, and anxiety

Includes prenatal visit and membership for the first 3 months of life with home visits included for the first month.

There is a one time non-refundable enrollment fee of $100 per child or $150 per family (2 or more children). This fee is waived for previous patients of Dr. Coleman who are transitioning to her DPC practice. Family maximum of $300/month.
Families who pay annually will receive a 5% discount. We have discounts available for families with children in foster care, medical students, and residents.
We have a limited number of financial assistance spots available to families with an annual household income of less than $60,000. Please contact us for more information.
We have a limited number of openings available for 1 time visits for various needs. Please contact us to discuss availability and pricing
